Description of the role 

As part of our continued growth we are looking for a seasoned Director of Retention Marketing & CRM to join our marketing team in London to own member lifetime profit, drive engagement and loyalty strategies and develop our membership proposition further. More specifically, the role is responsible for:

  • Driving global member revenue including product sales by member cohort, retention rates and ultimately lifetime profit.
  • Owning global and local brand communications. Developing and building large scale CRM programs seeded in the customer/member lifecycle across a variety of organizational business strategies and goals. Advancing and owning a comprehensive, data-driven customer segmentation plan, designed to increase lifetime value amongst our key audience segments
  • Working cross-functionally, partnering with Member Happiness, Creative, Marketing and Growth teams to develop thoughtful, innovative strategies that drive retention, long-term customer value and acquire new customers
  • Define program KPIs, working with the team to manage performance and reporting, ultimately using the data and insights to refine plans
  • Providing vision, leadership and direction to develop Beauty Pie’s membership proposition. Oversee the member benefits and perks across both the US and the UK. Leading the conception and execution of a holistic customer engagement and loyalty strategy, in partnership with various stakeholders in the business. Innovating on how we connect with our customers and delight them at every touchpoint with personalization and tailored flows, both on and off site.
  • Rolling out a test-and-learn strategy to continuously improve results
  • Identifying, assessing and managing innovative marketing automation technology partners to help us deliver against our goals; highlighting and prioritizing opportunities for automation and optimisation
  • Managing, coaching, motivating and developing a high-performing lifecycle marketing team to execute the vision while supporting them to achieve their professional development goals

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in managing loyalty, membership, or subscription programs
  • Proactive, strategic and creative leader with experience running a membership driven business
  • Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record in delivering long-term member engagement and lifetime profit growth
  • Deep understanding of segmentation and customer lifecycle 
  • Experience in applying new and innovative martech tools and techniques, incl. deep working knowledge of marketing automation platforms (MAP) and customer data platforms (CDP)
  • Strong data-driven mentality with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights to inform engagement strategies
  • Hands-on leader with experience juggling multiple projects and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced cross-functional environment with a great attention to detail
  • People management experience with the ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing teams
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly share plans and strategies to senior management, peers, and direct reports
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge seeker - stays up to date on competition and trends, and brings new ideas to the table constantly
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong bias for action.
